Champagne Jacquart: From the mosaique (1800 growers), relaxed luxury, positive energy & freedom!

Champagne Jacquart was founded in 1964 by Chardonnay growers. It is a grower-producer house, which means they own all their vineyards and produce all their own Champagne. Jacquart is part of the Alliance Champagne Group and is one of Champagne’s largest source of grapes (approximately 6.5% of AOC Champagne). The advantage of being a grower-producer means that they are present in 8 of 17 Grand Cru and 20 of 44 Premier Cru areas.

In recent years Jacquart has increased focus and efforts on sustainable winegrowing with 20% of acreage certified as sustainable in 2017, and a goal to continue to grow this activity in future years. All their cuvees are vegan friendly. The total area of Jacquart vineyards is over 2200 ha, from which they select about 350 ha of diverse and top quality grapes that make up the 3.5 million bottles produced every year.

Champagne Jacquart produces unique and contemporary style cuvees across their range that are fresh, elegant and refined. Their sophisticated house style is dry, textured and balanced – a perfect aperitif. One of the best selling Champagnes is the Jacquart Brut Mosaique NV. It is a Chardonnay dominant Champagne blend: 40% Chardonnay (freshness), 35% Pinot Noir (structure) and 25% Pinot Meunier (fruit). The presence of about 30% reserve wine ensures a consistent style, while more than three years ageing and a light dosage result in a balanced and complex Champagne.

The Brut Mosaique has aromas of fresh pear, fig and almond, with hints of orange flower along with richer notes of honey and freshly baked bread. The palate is fresh and supple, green apple hints accompany citrus minerality and brioche. You can read all the reviews and order this cuvee here.
